With easy-to-follow modules, you'll learn how to leverage KoboToolbox to collect and manage data more effectively.

The course includes three hours of video instruction, practical exercises, and quizzes, with real-time results to help you solidify your learning. The course is self-paced, so you can complete it on your own schedule.

    Yes, when you complete the course successfully, you’ll receive the KoboToolbox Essentials certificate, which will enhance your professional credentials and set you apart as a proficient user.

  • What are the duration and format of the course?

    The course is entirely online and self-paced, so you can complete it on your own schedule, and contains 11 learning modules with 3 hours of video instruction. Each learning module includes videos, quizzes, and hands-on exercises to help you practice and apply what you learn. You will also find written key points accompanying each video and a module topic summary to reinforce important concepts. The KoboToolbox Essentials Course is available in English and in French as the Cours d’initiation à KoboToolbox (https://academy.kobotoolbox.org/courses/initiation). All course materials are available in French, including hands-on exercises and video subtitles. We are currently in the process of translating the course into more languages and appreciate your patience.

    The cost of the KoboToolbox Essentials Course is $49 USD. We use Thinkific’s secure built-in payment processor, Thinkific Payments, for all course payment transactions. Thinkific Payments accepts the following payment methods: VISA, VISA Debit, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, American Express, ELO, UnionPay International, and Diners Club International. Additionally, Thinkific offers digital wallet payments. Bank redirect payments are available for Belgium, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, and Poland.     It is recommended that you have access to a computer and good internet connection. Additional optional materials include headphones and note-taking supplies.

  • What is required to complete the course and obtain the certificate?

    Participants will have the opportunity to reinforce their learning and assess their understanding of the course material in the final quiz. The final quiz consists of 33 multiple-choice questions. To successfully complete the course, participants must achieve a score of at least 80% on each of the 11 module quizzes and on the final quiz. Participants have unlimited attempts to retake any module quiz or the final quiz in the course until they achieve a passing score. After successfully completing the course, participants will receive an official KoboToolbox Essentials certificate.
